This series of articles is a continuation of the one appearing in the October, 1977 issue of the I.J.0.M., written by Dr. Smith. Those of our readers who are unfamiliar with Social Action Programs may wish to read Dr. Smith's first article titled, "Experimental Evaluation of Social Programs" before reading the current articles.

We feel Dr. Smith offers the oral myofunctional therapist and the other professionals who treat patients with these and similar disorders a unique opportunity to become familiar with various research designs applicable to their patients.
