Abstract
Purpose: Subjects from a normal population distribution can provide insight into behaviors that are typical during specified periods of development and atypical at other stages. Thus, the purpose of the current study was to evaluate kindergarten subjects for frequency of occurrence of oral facial postures or behaviors that have been associated with malocclusion, orthodontic relapse and cosmetic deviation in orthodontic patients as another step in the development of longitudinal, normative data.
